Our current struggles are often connected to difficult life events and relationships that wear on us over the years. Before we know it, we feel stuck and unsatisfied with life, wondering how things got to be the way they are despite our best efforts. Still, we forge ahead, blind to the ways in which the past shapes the present. In that blindness, we may cling to ways of living that may have once worked in our favor but now rob us of the peace we so desperately seek.

But what if you don’t have to carry on like this? What if there are other ways of moving through life, ways that can bring you more fulfillment, ways that exist just beyond your present awareness? Together, we can try to find out.

My career has led me to working with people experiencing anxiety, depression, shame, challenges with anger, low self-esteem, relationship issues, family issues, and identity issues. I also help those grappling with complex trauma who may feel overwhelmed or defenseless against their thoughts and emotions. Additionally, I  work with men struggling to navigate challenging relationships or break free from unhelpful tendencies like perfectionism, people-pleasing, and avoidance.

During our work, we will discuss your unique lived experience. Taking the time to get to know you, whether you’re just beginning therapy or picking up where you left off, will help us build the trust needed to support the depth of our work. I’ll be listening for recurring themes and patterns that bridge your past and present, while keeping in mind the systems impacting your life. Over time, this will help us address the core issues getting in your way and the relationships you wish to have.

I also support couples through recurring arguments, ongoing conflict, and challenges with communication by helping them understand themselves, their relationship, and one another more intimately. Gradually, this understanding helps partners feel empowered to explore new dynamics, perspectives, and experiences in pursuit of what they long for.

Asking for help, letting someone into our thoughts and feelings, takes a tremendous amount of courage. Such an act is an expression of our humanness, our imperfection. It is the manifestation of our hopes and wishes for something different than what is, and I’m honored to be trusted with something so personal and precious.

I accept Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) PPO plans. If you have a different plan, we will provide you what you will need to seek reimbursement from your insurance.
